What is the British Show Jumping Association?

The British Show Jumping Association (BSJA) is the governing body for show jumping in Great Britain. It is a member of the International Federation of Equestrian Sports (Equine) and the British Equestrian Federation. It is responsible for maintaining and improving the standards of show jumping in Great Britain and overseeing the licensing of people who want to train and compete as show jumpers. The BSJA oversees three different types of shows held throughout the year. These include:-Endurance shows – Endurance shows are held in January and June and are open to all equestrian clubs and individual riders who wish to compete in these shows. Participants must be at least 16 years old. The Endurance series is broken down into two parts: Endurance I - Endurance I runs from January to March Endurance II - Endurance II runs from May to June Endurance III - Endurance III runs from September to OctoberENDURANCE SHOW - An Endurance show is similar to an Open show, but with fewer riders and entries. There are no pre-entries and no prize money. These events are usually held on smaller venues such as local shows, or open shows that are not listed on the calendar.ENDURANCE SHOW CLASSIFICATIONS - Endurance shows can be either “ENDURANCE” (no prize money) or “ENDURANCE OPEN” (with prize money).ENDURANCE SHOW -
